In my Blog I decided to explore the relationship between Art & Biology, due to the main fact that I enjoy both at A-level for very different reasons and was curious as to if I could connect them. After delving into this very broad, initial line of research, I realised that the main relationship between Art and Biology is the use of Art to depict Biological Organisms. It began as a focus on Botanical Illustration, but I soon came to realise this was quite a restricted topic that I could only take so far. Nevertheless, it helped me realise that often the depictions are not initially considered as Art but rather an informative device. By changing my direction of investigation, I can discuss how depictions of the extensive range of Biological Organisms become Art, from Botany and Animal illustration to Microscopic Cells and Anatomy. In addition, I include my own artistic response at the end of each section where I create something of my own.
Later on I did a further study on Nature's influence of architecture but I have yet to add this to my blog...

On my
A Level page I include the short, experimental, stop motion film I created during my Film module along side a quick flick through video of my main coursework book on Materials and Processes. Both display avenues of art I had not played with before rather than art forms I most comfortably use.

I have yet to upload the contents of
My Portfolio but this will show a varied range of all of my work and what I consider to be my best.
